The Line 6 LowDown LD15 is a bass combo amp that pushes 15 watts through a punchy 8" speaker. The Line 6 LD15 bass amp boasts 4 channels of sought-after LowDown bass tones, 3 brilliant Smart Control FX, and the ability to dial in great sound instantly.

The LowDown LD15 bass combo delivers a wide range of essential sounds for every bass player: Clean provides a pristine fusion- and funk-bass tone perfect for slap; R&B is a tribute to those fat Motown bass tones; Rock captures the seminal tones of classic 8x10 stadium rock amplifiers; and Grind, as the name suggests, supplies plenty of punchy aggression and distortion for that modern rock bass tone. Each amp model's parameters are fully adjustable and can be stored for instant recall at the touch of a button.

The front panel of the LowDown LD15 features 3 Smart Control FX, offering a variety of tonal options unprecedented in a 15-watt bass amplifier. The Filter delivers a funky wah sound inspired by the baddest envelope filter on the planet; Chorus is transparent, smooth, and expressive, but maintains the low-end of the signal; and Octaver, producing a single note one octave below the note played, adds a powerful vibe to any jam.

A dedicated studio-grade opto compressor model provides a smooth and consistent signal at any volume. This consistency is ideal for every bass player for leveling out the dynamics of your attack. An LED lights up to signify when the compressor hits -5dB of gain reduction.

The Line 6 LowDown LD15 offers pro-grade tone control reminiscent of higher-priced bass amplifiers. Broad-sweeping Bass, Lo-Mid, Hi-Mid, and Treble controls make finding the perfect sound a snap. Plus, with a dedicated Drive knob, a little extra character is just a twist away.

Ideal for jamming and practicing, the Line 6 LowDown LD15 bass combo features a CD/MP3 input for playing along to any music. Plus, the headphone output can also be used for easy direct recording of album-ready LowDown bass tones.

Rugged, reliable, and ready to deliver legendary Line 6 bass tone, the LowDown LD15 combo amp is here.

Just got this because the reviews were good and I was looking for something smaller for practice (I have an Ampeg BA-115 for sale :) ). Nice features but when I turned it on and started playing thru it - serious disappointment. It sounded horrible. Boxy with a really bad resonance around 300 Hz. Plugged phones out into my bigger AMP, using the LD15 as a preamp, helped but still a noticeable resonance. I'll keep the thing cuz of the features, but will tinker with it to "get it right". Sigh. If only quality was important...

I've had this amp for around 4 months and it works perfect. Great for using to practice in a band or just sit at home and play.

A great little practice amp. Way better than the Fender frontman 15B or Rumble15 or whatever. Been playing bass for about 12 years, and have been through more amps and practice amps than I care to remember, but this one caught my eye and ear (and wallet). Great variety of tones. Compressor is nice. I wish they'd stop integrating "multi effects" into these. I'm a real bass player: I play bass, not space jam - effects were good for bands in the 60's and 70's. I'll let Steve Miller man the effects, for me, good ol' meat and potatoes bass is what I need and is what this delivers (and then some, unfortunately). So if you can get past worthless effects that a bassist shouldn't be using (and probably never will except in moments of extreme boredom), then this is a nice little piece.

This guy awesome. I only owned it for a few days buts thats only because I got enough christmas money to get a bigger one of the same kind/type whatever you want. The effects on it are amazing. This is coming from a guy whos only been playin for five years, but who likes the chili peppers and primus. The grind and envelope, thats auto wah for those who dont know, on it are ****ing great. You might be able to play it with a drum set just not very loud, and what I mean is the sound want be very pronounced. But buy this if you are a beginner or need something to practice on, especially if you like effects. Oh yeah the 4 tone knobs give you great control over your sound.
