I should have read the Bass Floor Pod reviews

I was looking for a bass processor, with some effects I actually might use, to model a B15 or a SVT, but this wasn't the one to do it. I did try out a Line 6 Low Down amp containing the modeling this processor seems to be based on and was impressed but I like amps without built in effects so I ordered the Bass Floor Pod. Right away I noticed a high level of hiss and noise on many patch settings, both through headphones and on several different bass amps I tried it on. It adds a slight distortion on all settings which I have noticed on other digital processors as well. The patches are very uneven and slow to change. Also there is an increase in volume after the patch changes which finally lower to initial volume unless the channel vol. is turned up all the way. The chorus and octave were decent but I wasn't crazy about the filter or the synth settings. Also a patch list is not included and was commented on at least a couple of months ago on the Line 6 web site so it gives me doubts about support for this model. IN honesty, I havn't tried that many bass processors but the Digitech BP50 is a better unit at a third of the price. This unit is going back.

I should have done more research

I bought this item expecting to be amazed. I was quite the opposite. It looks amazing, but the directions don't really explain anything, and the effects aren't all that amazing. I'm going to invest in something a little less expensive that can do a little more.

You should not expect much from this pedal

This pedal is very slow changing from one preset to the next. You should not purchase this pedal expecting to use it live if you plan on changing presets during a song. The amp models are pretty good with the exception of the synth feature which sounds awful. I complained to line6 about the slow changing of the presets and they told me I should not expect much.

This is a cool multi FX pedal thats worth buying if your looking for some cool new tones. The bass modelers have great sounds, the synth is cool!. The one thing that was a bit annoying is that when you change between channels you get a slight delay. You also have to go through and balance out the levels between channel pre-sets (also annoying at first). I would have preffered a delay effect instead of the octaver but thats my preferance.
