The Markbass Little Mark II is a stunning bass amp head that combines great sound, compact size, and light weight. The Little Mark II is Markbass' biggest seller and it's the flagship amp of the Markbass line. Its small size makes the Little Mark II easy to transport, yet with a 4-band EQ, VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) and VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter), its tone is nothing short of professional. The I/O includes an input that can handle both passive and active basses and an extra XLR balanced input for double bass pickups. Its Neutrik Speakon Combo out jacks work with 1/4" or Speakon speaker cables. A tuner out jack sends unbalanced signals to a tuner, amp, or recording equipment. Send and return effect jacks maintain your main signal even if something dies in your effects chain. For 2 years in a row, Little Mark II has been voted Best Bass Head by the readers of Bass Player Magazine. It also placed 3rd in poll's Best Value category.

I'm not one for hype, but after a month of nearly nightly use, I could not be happier with this head. The size alone is a plus, but this thing packs a punch (and a clean punch at that). Really brings out the individual character of each of my basses (and keeps my fretting honest, but not annoyingly so) and when coupled with a Tech 21 Bass Driver is amazingly warm & tube-like. Running thru a 2x10 & 2x12. No studio use yet, but I usually go tube anyway. The DI is very quiet = sound-op is very happy. Can play w/a neanderthal, tom-heavy drummer on a hollow stage without an in-ear=priceless.

I needed a new head bad. I bought a little markII and pared it up with the peavy tvx 4X10 and gallien krueger neo 2x12 and could not be more pleased. There arent a whole lot of features extra features on the amp but it honestly doesnt need anything else. Its raw power in a small package. I turn the amp and my bass to half mass volume and it will shake the windows. Amazing performance and a great modern touch to your bass rig.

THE LAST AMP YOU WILL EVER NEED

After seeing some other players with this amp and trying it out a few times, I finally bought one. My 70's SVT will finally get the retirement it deserves. This thing is killer. Gigged twice over the weekend the day after I bought it and was very impressed. One thing to watch though is back off the gain a little and once you have your EQ controls set dont mess with them during a show. The DI has a very hot output and cranking up on the EQ settings will push the sound board into distortion. Both guitarists in my band use marshall stacks and I was able to keep up with them with the master volume on about 3!

I just recently picked this amp up and I'm in love. I love the size of it since I have to take this not only to gigs but back and forth between two different band practices. I pair this bad boy with a sans amp and the sound I get blows other high end amps such as ampeg gk and swr out of the water. I tune as low as drop a in one of the bands and the sound cuts through amazingly. For the price this head is a no brainer. Try this side by side next to an ampeg and you will not only save money but will have a better sounding and a better quality amp.

I bought this amp a couple of weeks ago and I have to say, after almost 31 years of gigging , I've finally found an amp that has the perfect sound. And it only weighs around 6 lbs. ! If you're a serious bass player, you have to go out and get this amp and save your back ! By the way, I use this amp with a custom EV 12 inch top and an Ampeg 4-10 VLH bottom. Along with my Musicman Stingray Bass, the sound is incredible. As a matter of fact, I'm so happy with this great sounding featherweight head, that I plan on purchasing one of the Markbass cabinets. Great Job Markbass !
