Rear Face

The Markbass Little Mark tube amp head gives the warmth and richness of a tube preamp, the clean attack of a solid state preamp, or a mix of both. The bass amp head features a mix control for mixing between a solid state preamp and tube preamp. The result offers a range of sounds, from the crisp, Markbass sound in the solid state, to a heavy tube sound in the tube state, and anything in between. On the front panel there are two inputs with separate gain controls: one 1/4" jack, and one combo jack that accepts either an XLR or 1/4". The Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator (VLE) and Variable Preshape Filter (VPF) allow access to a wide array of timbres, from classic tones to modern hi-fi sound. A phantom power switch accompanies the XLR input, for using a microphone on a double bass. Mute control is as simple as a push and a pull on the master volume switch. The Markbass Little Mark has four bands of equalization, line out control, and pre-post EQ switch for the XLR out (on the rear panel). Markbass amps and combos are manufactured to be sold and used in the country of purchase, and they are factory preset to that country's voltage. Due to homologation issues, the voltage may not be changed. Rack ears not included. The bass amp head features a single 6205 miniature tube.

My second favorite amp ever

Why did I title this my "Second Favorite Amp Ever", because I just got the MarkBass Little Mark Tube 800 and with the extra power for my Schroeder cab, it is my #1. These amps are amazing. I have owned Mesa Boogie Big Blocks, Ampegs, SWRs, GKs... and even though the Mesa and Ampegs sound sweet, these amps sound great and are LIGHT!!! I truck mine around in a laptop bag and at 7 lbs, there is no comparison. It is so much nicer than the 55 lb rack I used to carry.

The "Tube" sound isn't very noticeable, so going with a LMII or LMIII would work just fine as well.

Tone Monster

Great tone, very flexible. It sounds like you and nothing less. The option of the tube preamp probably isn't necessary for most players though it does add a little warmth when blended 100% tube. The VLE and VPF are much more useful than I initially thought. Build quality is top notch. bottom line: Tone Monster.

after 15 years of pro playing and 10 more as a novice , i have to say the LM tube blew me away right out of the box. i play spector basses into a boss me50b into the LM tube thenn into a swr henry the 8th. with all set flat it was incredible. like a 800rb on juice!!! awesome tube creamy smooth sound that really sounds way better than most all tube heads (and ive owned a ton of em) and still maintains the cut in the mix that solids are known for ... all i can say is so far im blown away with the looks, quality, workmanship, design, and sound .... i give it two thumbs up ....
