Rear Bottom Left-facing Right-facing Powersupply

The unique sound of the Bass MuRF begins in the filter section. 7 of its 8 filters are resonant filters voiced at lower frequencies, and at the low end, there's a 3 dB/octave shelving filter. With a cutoff frequency of 110Hz, the Bass MuRF adds extra resonance and throat. In the Animation Section you'll find some familiar patterns along with some new ones, including some with very interesting rhythmic qualities.

MuRF stands for Multiple Resonance Filter Array, and the Moogerfooger MuRF's 8 filters are each controlled by their own slider. The filters can be animated in up to 24 preset patterns. The rate of the patterns can be set by a knob, expression pedal, or plug a footswitch into the tap tempo input to match the rate to the tempo of your song. Rhythmic variations can be created by adjusting the levels of the filters. The Envelope control sets the shape of the modulation, which can be set for percolating techno rhythm or shimmering timbral morphing. Other controls include Input Drive, Output Level, and Wet/Dry Mix. Accepts any line- or instrument-level signal.

MoogerFooger is Not Worth It

I purchased after reading great reviews and returned it the next day after listening to it. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with a moog synth sound. It was just a fancy flanger that thinned out the sound of my bass. So unless an over priced flanger is what you want I suggest you pass.

REGGAE SCRATCH!
Posted by MISTER ADLAI from US Virgin Islands on Dec 9, 2007

I play Reggae Guitar... I originally purchased a Moogerfooger Phaser, and they mistakenly sent this instead. So I was bummed at first... until I heard this. Anyway, it has a phaser in it and I use if for the best Reggae Scratch I ever heard on guitar. Awesome piece, but expensive. You get what you pay for... I believe this was a Godsend because I would never have purchased this unit.

Original Piece

I actually ordered a phaser and they sent this instead... but when I tried it, I realized that it had a phaser inside! I use this piece for guitar (not bass) primarily for a reggae "scratch" In a word AWESOME! I am convinced that no one on the planet can get a better scratch sound than this can provide! It is expensive, but so is my Gibson Les Paul Standard Gold Top. I thought it would be better to use the Guitar MuRF but the Moog website says that this piece is ideal for guitarists looking for a deeper darker sound.... that would be me

This is a simply amazing pedal. Top quality craftsmanship, top quality sound, and top quality features. You get the most original and intricate sounds out of this pedal, and it is more than worth saving those pennies. You don't want this pedal to pass you by, grab onto it with both hands and never let it go.
