Cheap junk bass

Typical assembly line cheap junk bass made in China. Very cheap nut and bridge that buzzed everytime I hit a string. After 2 years of light use the neck warped so bad the bass is unplayable. I plan on taking out the frets to see if it can be salvaged as a fretless.

After playing this bass I was quite surprised by the sound. They don't sound quite like a Music Man which their aiming at, but still sounds ok. The quality isn't bad, just a lot a annoying things. Bad wiring, pots, loose bridge. I ended up selling it and going with a G&L L-2000. Aimed at the same styles of music, but by a far better bass (better than a real Music Man too). G&L also makes a Tribute series which is made overseas and still sounds/plays amazing but for much less

For the money this is a great bass. Action is fantastic, Pickups are great, looks fine! This Bass will growl and it can also be mellow . Good for Rock, Funk, and Jazz! It's built like a tank! I have the natural finish and it looks great! If you are thinking about buying a Fender Jazzman or Fender P-Bass, try this out first. You will be surprised! I have five Basses now, this is my favorite! It's not a StingRay, however it's very close!

A Great Five String.

First of all, this bass looks excellent. It also plays great. That being said, yes, you will probably have to set it up to your playing style. That's a given with any instrument. The makers cannot guess what your playing style is. Don't let that discourage you from getting this bass. It has an excellent tone even through a crappy Silvertone practice amp (I've tested it!). It sounds amazing hooked into a Kustom Cab (I tested THAT!). If you're looking into a five string, you can't go wrong with this one. Or if you just want that second... or third... or fourth bass to rock with. GO FOR IT!!!
