Whats not to love?

Bought mine new in early 2007, so mine is most likely a 2006 model, but the features are the same regardless. I have the tiger eye finish, and it is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures do NOT do it justice. Ok, so here's what I love about this bass. First and foremost, is the weight! This thing is so light, it's sickening. It's also very comfortable, whether standing, or sitting. You can play this for hours if you have to, and not be sore afterwards-big plus for us older guys! The neck is an absolute joy to play, very comfortable, and it has a nice satin type finish. The truss rod adjustment at the neck is nice, no sprecial tools needed. How does this bass sound? Like a good stock Fender type bass should sound in my humble opinoin. Really good output, with good clarity at the same time. Being single coils, they are prone to buzzing, but when you turn both to equal volume, it does go away! Actually, the control cavity is shielded, so you really won't have an issue with it-I use the neck only 95% of the time. You won't need to change them.

Two things to consider; the ability to string thru the body or bridge is really nice. If you string thru the body though, be careful when changing strings, the string ferrules with come right out with it. Not a big deal if you string thru like I do, but if you go thru the bridge, keep those ferrules in a safe place. The tuners are a cheap copy of a Gotoh GB7. They do work, and the bass will stay in tune, but I found the nuts that hold them in liked to come loose sometimes. I don't consider it a problem though, because real Gotoh's, or Hipshot ultralites drop right in. I put on ultralites, everything is great now.

This bass is a good buy, no matter what your skill level is. I've had two pro players wonder if it was a custom built bass, thats how good it sounds. Enough said?

This is a great Bass From Peavey. I've had this for a couple of weeks now and I couldn't ask for more. Very lightweight, decent Pickups, and great design. I put a set of Dr Black Beauties on it and it looks and sounds great. I highly recommend this bass for beginners or experienced players alike...

I have been playing an older american made peavey fury for years. I decided to take my old bass in the shop for a setup/string change. The sales clerk showed me this new peavey bass. A few hours later when I went back to pickup the fury I bought the bass it actually has a better tone control than the old fury. The fury I constanly have to dampen the strings.

I recently got this bass, and with just a little tuning, this baby was ready to roll. The Peavey Millennium BXP is versitle and powerful. At full volume and tone, both pick-ups produce a magnificant sound, but turn any of it down, and it reacts very strongly. When playing slap n' pop, the neck pick-up takes on a harsh beat that resembles that of hitting a microphone. The action is great on this bass as well as the luster. Overall, I would say a great deal compared to other basses in the price-range.

I own a left handed model of this bass, and I played it for 2 years. The sound is great, I do have to say though, my friend owns a Peavey amp, and they sound really nice played out of almost any Peavey. I recommend buying this as a starter, and if you want to get some nice sound you might modify it. An overall nice bass.
