Tight, focused sound with lots of punch.

The Peavey TVX 210 EX is a full-range bass guitar speaker enclosure in a small package. It may also be used as the top cabinet in a bi-amped bass system. This enclosure is covered with tough, black vinyl to give the you a rugged and easy-to-clean surface. The metal corners and grille add protection from the bumps and bruises encountered on the road. The 210TVX uses two 10-inch Sheffield® bass speakers, a horn tweeter and a custom crossover designed for great articulation, tone and clarity. A high frequency level control is part of the crossover so the high frequency output can be tailored to complement any style of playing. A protection circuit has been incorporated into the crossover to help prevent damage to the horn tweeter in the event of overpowering. If the average signal level going to the tweeter exceeds a certain threshold, the protection circuit is engaged.

Like the earlier TXF M series, this enclosure has low frequency vents on the front of the cabinet. This results in better low frequency impact. The 210TVX is a 4-ohm enclosure capable of handling an input power of up to 350 watts. It can be used alone or with any other bass guitar enclosure from Peavey. Be sure to check the amplifier specifications to verify the minimum impedance rating of the amp used to power this enclosure.

great stand alone 210

Just for laughs I plugged into this cab at a music store, and was so impressed I walked out with it. In my studio, I A-B tested it against several high priced speaker cabinets I own. And, in all honesty, this cab more than held its own. and for the price, it makes it one great deal. I always though PV was sort of pedestrian and I would never buy one. 20 years later, I am now on the verge of selling all of my "boutique" gear and just outfitting myself with PV. I guess sometimes you just need to try it and hear for yourself.

I've been playing this cab for about three years paired with a TVX 115 and have been thoroughly impressed time and again. If you are looking for a good starter gigging setup this is a decent little cab when paired with the 15. The speakers tend to be a little weak when playing larger shows or when trying to keep up to guitar players that play through Mesa's, but for a starter cab it is a decent choice.
