Cheaper (and better) than a P-Bass!

Arrived very quickly, and although the shipper left it on the porch on a zero degree day, it arrived in fantastic shape and almost in tune! The E & A strings had fret rattle, but small problem. Anyway, after months of not playing and selling my p-bass, I have found the perfect replacement. It feels just like the old Fender, with a quicker neck and p/j pickups! The white looks nice, but boring, which is what I was looking for, so great. No problem with the controls, no scratching. No complaints. Great highs, lows, mids... Better than my Fender, cheaper too.

I got this bass for christmas and it is worth every penny. The pickups are great and this bass has an amazing sound. It rarely goes out of tune and if it does it is easily tuneable. I like the color too (I got red and black).

Good value and alternative to Fender

Very solid basses, like a tank. Nice necks, particularly the maple necks. Too much polyurithane on the maple necks which should have been sanded to a satin finish on the back. Great color/paint. Garbage tone/volme pots that crackle on every one I've tried. Pots are 500k and not properly matched to the pickups causing way too much highs to get through - recommend changing them to quality 250K pots. Potent pickups with huge volume. Other reviewers say "loud" and they're not lying. Bridge pickup is a little "smooth" for my taste, not as much growl as a Fender. Overall a great bass that will last forever.

Great quality bass. Gives Fender a run for the money. I really like this bass; only 2 problems. Static when adjusting tone knob. Been replaced once but still has static. Secondly bass is so deep, most amps can't handle it. The deep bass note on the E string is why I bought this Peavey. I've managed to adjust the precision upper pick-up low enough so it sounds great now. Overall I would buy this again. I can't find another bass that gets this low and deep. Oh yeah. Sustain is fantastic!

Great bass for under a grand. I have the maple fretboard/Sunburst version. Action is as good as it gets. This is the only bass I have ever played on where you can have unrestricted access to all frets. I have played them all in my 30yrs and am finally at home with this one. This is a passive bass with chrome hardware, the ad is wrong and should be corrected as it is not active. I prefer the passive sound but it can sound like an active with little effects. Can't go wrong with this one.
