Best Bass for the money

I own Warwick 4 and 5 string corvette basses. I wanted a good practice bass to play with and not worry about the open woodgrain finish so I bought a 5 string rockbass. The quality and sound is as good as the "real Warwicks". Its much lighter but my rockbass is alot more punchy. Lots of fun to play. I dont know of any bass that has this quality for such a low price. The best bass for the money !!

This is the 4th bass I've owned, I didn't have the cash t throw at a "real" warwick so this would have to work. I really like to tone and the weight, it plays great and has a nice action. My only gripe is that the headstock is really heavy and it makes the bass dive pretty bad. The balance isn't quite right so a long practice session with this bass get kinda frustrating. Other than that for the money this is a great instrument.

Best for the $

You will find NOTHING better for under $1k! I own 2 of them because of tuning issues relating to multiple singers in my cover band. These basses are GREAT for local gigging and you don't have to worry about your $2k Warwicks sitting around at gigs that only pay to be split between the entire band! This is the ONLY way to go if your not wanting to spend a big pile of $ for a bass!

RockBass Rocks

After playing a Gibson Ripper with flat wounds for the last 30 years behind Jazz and folk performers I missed the action of a lighter weight bass with more of a bight for the rock tunes we were asked to do. The RockBass fills the bill and then some. The Blue Corvette Basic is anything but when it comes to putting out the kind of bottom needed to move a crowd from their chairs out on the floor. A great second bass and some nights a first depending on the bill.

I own the Corvette Standard model with the sunburst finish. I have to say that i had seen them on-line and wasn't too impressed. However, a few days later one appeared in a local guitar shop in my town. After playing it, i realized that i should buy this bass. It sounds great, plays well, the finish is beautiful. For the money, its the best bass i've ever played. Extremely versatile, great with pick, slapped, or fingers. Bottom line- if you need a bass that can take punishment, sound great, and give you a lot of tones for a little cash, go Rockbass.
