This bass is honestly a fantastic value. It sounds great, and is easy to play. This bass is great for any beginner. I don't think there any better basses for the same price. I strongly recommend this bass to any new players.

Ive been playing guitar for about 3 1/2 years and have had this bass for about a year. its a great bass for the price and it doesn't buzz at all. the single jazz pickup has a really nice tone and the 2 single coil pickups have a nice deep sound and a great tone. the stock strings are bad so i changed them a couple days ago and it made it sound a whole lot better. it has a slick neck, when you slap or pop its great no matter how hard you do it. i don't really use the 24th fret i don't know why they put it there but its looks cool. the only problem that ive had is that the place where you hook your strap is a little loose and wood glue can take care of that. overall this is a good bass and i would recommend it to anyone even if they have a Rickenbacker haha

I got this bass a few months ago as a last minute for a gig, I have to admit I was really surprised with how great it sounded. It has a really nice tone as-is, without any adjustments. The pickups sound great, but I may upgrade to EMG's. I tuned up the bass really quick, packed it up, and didn't play it for like three weeks and came back and it was in perfect tuning! The neck is a little thick but i don't care. If you need a bass and are short on money, or even if you have the money, get this one. . . .if you don't like the pickups you can upgrade them, if you don't like the neck you can replace it. . . this is a great bass that can EASILY be upgraded to studio quality.

I haven't been on the bass that long, usually on the guitar, but I was impressed with the sound that came out of this. A few tweaks (I.E. - lower the action and tighten the pickups and plug.) and this is a great guitar for small to medium gigs and practicing.
