I decided to pick up the bass about the time I moved to a new community and needed something to do in my spare time. After seeing the "best value" reviews I went for the LX400 and have not been disappointed. I liked it best with flatwound strings though I'm using half-rounds now and they are fine. Had to set up the neck and saddles but it was no biggie and it plays really well. It's been a good investment for me.

I've had my rogue LX400 Pro for 2 years now, I got the red one on sale for $150 from here. All in all a great buy, however there are some issues, first the tone pots are all most worthless and as others have said the strings are no good. One of the tuners popped a washer and now slips, $78 for new tuners. But the tone is very good for the money, this is not a great bass but it's not going to be for the price, you get what you pay for, sometimes you get lucky! Is it a good buy? You bet, try one!

Okay so I own 2 Fender American Deluxes and 2 Rouges. A 5string active and 4 string active. They sound just as good as my Fenders. When recording u wouldnt be able to tell the difference. I use DR strings with them and they sound amazing with these axes! BUY THIS BASS!

This bass I most definitely worth the price. Then only downside really is the bad strings. They don't produce the right tone. But overall one of the best basses for this price range.

This is the first bass i've bought and it is a really good bass. i heard a comment about the frets being different hights but on mine they are all perfect it. it has a 4 tone controlls which of a great veriety of tone you can choose. It is better then even some basses i've played that are even more expensive. For a more expirienced bassist i recomend an esp ltd standard d series, i played one a few times and it's really good but for a more beginner bassist this is a really good bass.
