Wow. When this bass first came, its bridge was way too low, but I used the little spinner things on the sides to raise it. A great bass worth the money you pay for it. 9.5\10

My main instrument is keyboards and I also play a little guitar but recently decided to get a bass. I was not disappointed. This is one sweet little guitar. For aesthetic reasons alone it is worth purchasing if for no other reason than to just hang it on the wall. The guitar and finish are beautiful. This guitar plays like guitars costing twice as much and is a pure delight to play. It's almost like it screams "play me" every time I look at it.The feel of the guitar is very comfortable and the action is fast. Any problem I am having with buzzing strings is me and not the guitar. Admittedly it's not the Hofner quality or even the Hofner sound but it's 80% of both of them and 10% of the price. I think that's a pretty good deal. Definitely worthy of the hardshell case because the gig bag is not quite sufficient for the protection it deserves. A new set of strings wouldn't hurt. I put on some Fender Flatwounds and it really helped the sound. The bottom line is that this is a really nice bass at a super price, if you're tempted go ahead and do it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

i got this bass because i love the beatles and i love paul mccartney and i was pretty pleased with this bass for the price. the only little problem was the vibration of the strings, but other than that it has pretty decent tone and sound. really fun!

Great Bass worth the money

The bass has a beautiful unblemished finish, perfect! It came with roundwound strings that were real cheap and had dark sports on them like they were played for years, I quickly replaced them with D'addario med light longscale roundwound strings, they play beautifully on the bass. I did notice that most strings don't fit great the problem is the ball on most sets on the E string have a hard time setting right in the tailpiece but with a little wiggling and not much force it will set in the proper position, I tried GHS boomers and the E string would not fit in the saddle, D'addario seems to be the best fit so far. I know most will say that flatwounds are the proper string for the bass but I found that they are too dead and have no sustain for my style of playing. I've used the bass at band rehearsal last week and was quite impressed with the sound, bandmates were surprised at the quality for the price. The intonation is very easy to set, the solo/rhythmn bass/treble switches give endless combinations of different sounds. It has the hotest output I have ever experienced with passive pickups. I would have to agree with other reviewers that this bass is not meant for popping and slapping and hard rock pounding, it works best with finger picking and used with a pick. If your a lefty out there you probably know that there is not much selection for basses, purchase this bass it's worth the money.
