Roland's most advanced bass amplifier employs proprietary Feed Forward Processing (FFP) with Active Speaker Control technology for a marked increase in speaker efficiency and response, loudness, and tone.

COSM Vintage, Modern, and Super Flat preamps deliver a range of great tones beyond that of a traditional bass amp with simple, analog-style controls. The Super Flat setting reproduces the sonic characteristics of your bass without coloration and its fat and clear sound is perfect for bridge and soundboard pickups on upright basses. Solid state or fat, natural, Tube Logic compression smoothes out your attack for rich, pro-level tone.

The front panel has normal and piezo-level inputs, active/passive switch, gain, preamp type knob with Shape switch, 4-band semi-parametric EQ, a tweeter control knob, effect blend, master volume, mute switch, and headphone jack. On the rear is a footswitch jack, effects loop I/O, subwoofer out, line out, tuner out, and the XLR D.I.

An optional powered extension speaker adds another layer of punch for performers who play larger venues. (See accessory box on this page.)

I found all the tone and volume I have been looking for, and the light weight amp I need. I have owned Ampeg SVT's, SWR, Fender, Peavey, none of them come close to the sound of this amp. It is easy to set-up your and shape your tone from vintage to modern. I play Fender 4 & 5 String Jazz as well as a '75 P-Bass. It is like having all new guitars again The Super Flat setting with my Ovation acoustic thru the pezio input is jsut beautiful. It gives you the natural tone of your guitar, the way is was made to be heard. 400w deilvered to 2-10"s and a horn by three separate amplifiers. You can feel the power and believe me this thing can shake the house. Do not waste your time buying all the other big names and huge stacks. If you need a little more umph, they have a powered extension cabinet that puts out an additional 300W, for a total of 700w. IT may seem a little pricy, but is all the amp you will ever need or want, at least it is for me.
