Amazing Tone

I bought my SWR LA 10 about a year ago, and I have enjoyed playing it the entire time. It has the best tone of any amp I have ever played. It can be surprisingly loud, and is great for jamming or band practises. For it's value, I would definitely have a hard time choosing a better bass amp.

I use this amp constantly even though it's not mine. The reason is simple: It has the best tone ever. I recommend this to anyone who needs a good practice amp. It has great tone at any volume, and it can withstand slapping and picking without any distortion. You can also plug two basses in using the mix-in plug.

I've been playing bass on and off for twelve years now..I have never used serious professional equipment as far as gigs and such, I just like to practice and play by myself. Having owned and played several low-watt amps I find the LA to be the best. It really can go low and clean, and with effects such as wah it plays fine as well.

Nice little portable amp suitable for practice. Don't try to use this in a performance, you will be disappointed. In higher volumes it wimps out and loses tone. Has awesome and durable construction and can take a lot of abuse. Good for kids.

The first few degrees of the volume knob are extremely quiet but then it gets about twice as loud if you turn it any further. For about the first half of the volume it has great tone for both my bass and guitar (I dont recommend using guitars on bass amps). If its pushed any more the highs and lows get left out. Other than that its a good practice amp. It has mix in, line out, line in, and headphone jacks which is really really nice. The controls are on the top which keeps me from bending down to adjust it. Good amp if you aren't playing it to loud.
