It's a nice amp, but only for practicing, if you want to gig with it, you'd have to mic it. to hear it over a drum set, you have to turn everything up all the way, but over all a great practice amp for a person who is in a band.

I would like to see this amp with a XLR output jack to direct line out to the PA. However, the hi impedance tuner jack actually provides a decent signal. Other than that, you'll not be disappointed in this superb instrument.

I really like the sounds that such a small amp can give but it has a few downsides that have kept me from loving it. For starters, it has a nice EQ capable of giving nice sounds but I have never been able to turn up the bass past %60 while the amp is at half volume without getting a buzz back. The same also goes with the treble setting. Also, the amp cannot handle anything past %75 volume or my Boss Overdrive pedal on half volume, and this becomes rather irriatating. This doesn't mean that it isnt worth its price. This makes a wonderful little amp for practice but don't expect to hear yourself if your playing with a drummer who is playing aat full volume.

If your looking for a good practice amp (nothing more) and want a good price, get this amp.

I have had this amp for a little over a year now. It has yet to fail me in a single area. This amp is perfect for jamming with a band. It does have a little trouble overpowering my drummer but it can. I even use this amp for my guitar. I use a Boss DS-1 distortion pedal and a Dunlop Crybaby for my guitar and it shreds like no other. The only real problem is the hissing sound you get at higher volumes and with the Crybaby. I recommend this amp to anyone who needs an amp for their house.

I've owned this SWR LA12 Combo Amp for almost 3 years, and it performs ever time without incidents. This is a very quiet amp, almost doesn't seem like it's on sometimes. Great value, great sound, it is 16 by 16 by 16(so it is a perfect square, which makes it look very cool and clean). Have not had any problems at all in about a 3 year period, so it is durable and dependable. I would highly recommend this bass combo amp to anybody looking for a practice amp or just to jam with friends.
