First off, and most important - the WorkingPro 210C sounds REALLY good! The controls make sense, and I can dial in any sound very quickly. The two tens and the switchable tweeter give me a wide range of usable, high-fidelity choices.

For roots-rock gigs, I turn the tweeter off and play a Hofner with nylon tapewounds. WOOF! Sounds like my old 30-watt B-15N, only WAY louder.

For jazz or theater gigs, I'll play a maple-neck fretless P-bass and turn the tweeter on. Then it's like playing through a studio monitor - only WAY louder.

(One thing I really like about the tweeter, by the way: It seems to be set to work with the same frequencies as the tone control on my bass. I can really hear nuances in my tone settings - move the knob one number, and there's an audible change.)

The 210C is small enough to ride to the gig in the passenger seat of your car, but it can handle anything from a coffehouse to a wedding dance - with power to spare.

I especially like the way it moves air on a stage - it has the kind of physical punch that I used to get from my 2x15 cab, at literally half the weight.

For times when I need a LOT of volume - ballroom or outdoor settings - I pair it with a WorkingPro 2x10 extension cab. This gives me the same sound I'm used to, but lots more of it. Incredible lows! More than one person has asked me if I'm using a subwoofer, because the sound has such a solid presence.

A powerful, flexible rig!

I play a lot of different kinds of gigs. For the medium-to-large ones, I have put together a very flexible rig using the 210C and a matching SWR 2X10 cabinet.

For smaller venues, parties, etc., the 210C is more than enough all by itself, as a standalone combo. Pound for pound, I haven't seen anything that will keep up with it.

For bigger halls or outdoor spaces, I bring along the 2X10 cab. That jumps me up to 400 watts into 4 tens, and it's a KICKING amp gig with plenty of headroom to spare.

And - since it moves in two pieces - it's easier on my back at load-in and load-out.

The sound of the SWR, with or without the extension cab, is BIG, WIDE, and High Fidelity. The cabs have a lot of side-fill presence, so you don't have to be standing directly in front to hear it. Excellent lows! (With the extension cab especially, it sounds like I'm using a sub.)

I love the tone controls, especially the Aural Enhancer. You can really fine-tune your sound quickly.

In a perfect world, it would be a bit more affordable (wouldn't everything?), and the wheels would be a bit more substantial. I use a Rock n Roller R2 Micro Cart to move everything anyway, so wheels are moot - but they ARE a tad dinky.

Buy it for the sound and the portability - you won't be sorry!

I played an older version of this combo at a local music shop and much to my amazement, it fit the price tag. it had an absolutely wonderful tone that could cover anything from thrash to bluegrass. the 10s didn't push all that hard but pour on the bass and it comes alive with a wall of sound. this combo can make a bottom line rogue sound like a warwick. so imagine what the rockbass sounded like when i plugged it in. heaven.

This amp is a bit pricy, but if you can drop the grand you will get a seriously righteous amp. This thing is everything I've ever wanted out of a bass amp...and the simple addition of a mute is just icing on the supreme bass cake. Fantastic amp.
