I have had this amp for over a year and a half now and absolutely love it. The bass intensifier makes it sound like the earth is about to open up and swallow you alive. Of course the Aural Enhancer just makes your tone sing. For live gigs I am running it through a SWR Workingman's 4x10 & 1x15. For rehearsal I just run the 4x10 other wise the guitarists in my band complain that I am drowning them out(bunch of babies!). For the studio I run my bass's through a Line 6 bass pod XT live with the modeled out through the WorkingPro 700 & my direct signal through a SWR Studio 220 for the tube preamp sound. I track both heads direct and then blend them for the most massive sound ever. If you want a awesome amp that you can dial in any tone, get this one.

Ok, So I just bought this amp yesterday. It really is an amazing head. At first listen, it sounds like a quality amp. But when I turned on the Bass intensifier it shook the house. Of course, I don't want to just focus on volume and bass, which it really excels on, but it has great articulation. Every note comes out clear. The response is nothing to sneeze at either. Right now I have it coupled with a 2x12 cab, but will be upgrading that soon because this is just too powerful. I was going to buy a Phil Jones Suitcase. Now, I'm not going to knock that amp, because PJB makes a fantastic amplifier, But I needed more power while not going broke. This was the answer for me. My next step will be compression. Then I'll have the perfect sound for me.

After playing thru Ampeg, GK, Trace Elliot and Mark Bass Heads I gave this one a try. I can say with great certainty..this is the one for me! I am currently using a totally restored Crate cabinet with two 10's and one 18" driver at 4 ohms (700 watts)and the combo is awesome. I do plan on upgrading in the very near future to the SWR 4X10 and Big Ben 18" cabinet combo. I would recommend this bass head to anyone.

This amp is louder than ever. I played it out of an ampeg 4x10 cab and I couldn't move my volume knob past 1/4 of the way without drowning out my guitarist. This is a great amp. Definitely worth the money.

I ordered one of the first amps in stock and this thing was well worth it. Cool styling and classic SWR look with a few new cosmetic features. The amp itself sounds great, nice and well rounded. The new Bass Intensifier works great, however I think they cut back on the EQ bass boost in doing so. The bass EQ just doesn't have the same push it did with the other SWR models. However, the Bass Intensifier more than makes up for it. The footswitch turns it on and off and you can really hear the difference with the level up. The rest of amp is familiar to those who play SWR's except for those who played workingman's amps theres a new version of the EQ system. The mid levels are controlled by two knobs, one changes the signal when moved either up or down from neutral and this activates the other knob which adds more precision to the tone. It works great and combined with the bass intensifier gives the musician tons of tonal flexibility. The power is great and leaves a lot of head room. I haven't played a show with it yet but I'm sure it will be more than enough. Anyway, an all round great amp, worth the money and definitely solid buy.
