My first 5-string

The curved neck makes this bass difficult to play without fret buzz. A lot of it has to do with my own technique and it certainly is possible to play this instrument without any buzz, but it's not for beginners. The tone is fantastic but I find the B note a little loose (this is my first 5-string so this may be typical). Overall an excellent 5-string at a very good price.

I have owned this bass for a few years now. I bought it as a back up for my Spector. It now is my main axe. More comfortable, playable, and just as diverse as my Spector and Lakeland but half the price. I have been playing for many years and will tell ya. If you are looking to go 5, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

I recently came across this bass at my local music store, and seeing as how I had never given any thought into trying out a 5-string bass I decided to tinker with it. I was suprised at how much thump this bass had! The songs I played sounded so necro it was insane. If You have a little bit of money sitting around I'd suggest buying this bass. You won't be let down.

I have owned and played 3 basses in the past year and have been highly disappointed. From Peavey to Dean to Fender, they have all fell short of my expectations and truthfully, left me thinking that all basses were cheaply made and wouldnt last for more than 6 months.

That is until I bought the Schecter C-5 and was absolutely blown away. I am a bit partial to Schecter, because I own a C-1 Plus guitar and love it, but never really knew what a great bass was until I bought this one. You can get any sound known to man out of this bass and the EMG pickups on it. Out of the box, I was playing slap bass without even attempting it, which made me giddy like a child. The sound out of this bass is like none I have ever experienced. This is a studio musicians dream.

I could not recommend another bass, even at twice the cost, more. Buy it!

This is a great bass (got it around three months ago). It can go from metal to jazz to funk slapping and back with no problems. It's very sturdy, and the black cherry finish is great to look at. Strap buttons work well, I've never had it fall off while I play. Great value too, it's on par with basses alomst twice the price. I'll definitely be holding onto this for a long time.
