First off I'd like to say that this is a VERY light bass. When i picked up the package it was in i thought they hadn't even put it in there! In addition to the great weight of the bass it has wonderful action, pickups, and tuners right out of the box. It's also extremely pretty in the black cherry color. I recommend this bass HIGHLY!

Shopping for a New Bass? Consider this one!

When my inexpensive Fender Jazz finally went on the fritz a couple of weeks ago, I was looking for a new bass guitar that was easy on the wallet but cranked out an amazing tone, regardless if it uses active pickups or not. I checked out a couple basses before, but when I came across the Schecter line, particularly this model, I immediately fell in love.

Using this bass with my new Acoustic B200H amp combo, the tone is amazing and beyond what I expected. I was able to get the MusicMan feel for an inexpensive price. The action starts off really low and the neck is really easy to navigate, especially if you play a lot of octave scales.

My only drawback is that the 9-volt Schecter supplied was dead, so make sure you have some new 9-volts ready should you buy this bass.

If you are looking for an upgrade from your cheap bass without having to spend a fortune, I believe this bass is a top contender to consider. I ordered mine with the trans-ocean blue, and it looks absolutely wonderful.

I wasn't looking to buy a new instrument, but upon trying out the Schecter Stiletto Extreme 4, it just jumped out at me as an instrument that I just HAD to have.

This bass has amazing tone and felt very comfortable in my hands. I'm also a huge fan of the black cherry finish. I've had this for 3 months, so far no problems. My only complaint is that I wish the Active EQ had more features. I switched from an Ibanez SR-305, and I do miss the bass/treble cut/boost.

Amazing bass for the price

This bass does everything you could want it to, and all feed-back free! The active controls allow for a clear and powerful pumping tone no matter how loud you want to go. With volume/blend/2-band active EQ you can produce a sound for every style, from country to heavy metal in the turn of a knob. Solidly built 6-bolt-on neck and basswood body prove this thing to be sturdy. Rosewood fingerboard and vector styled inlays allow not only for a hot look but also a smooth ride. Playing through my practice (and sometimes gig) amp of a Fender Frontman 25B it produces large sound and shaking bass good enough for a small coffee-house styled performance with ease. Through my Fender Bassman 150 I have yet to find a building size that this thing couldn't take down with ease, and still feed-back free. Schecter Pickups have yet to let me down in any category, and the solidly built knobs are there to stay. This a buy that you will never regret, and if you do turn it down, at least go for an upgrade of Schecter's, best value for the prices I've ever seen. Should you choose to make this purchase, I hope you enjoy this baby of a bass as much as I have and planned to. Expect many questions about it after your gigs, cause this thing ca compare to Fender quality plying in my opinion. Enjoy the flawless and amazing construction and sound should you make this wise purchase.
