I had never played on a Spector until I bought one. Let me tell you I'm Impressed. I was looking for the Ideal 5-string that fit my budget with awesome tone and feel.This bass covers it, cuts through the mix with clarity and definition, when I'm playing live, the active pre-amp is awesome and has overall great tone when I'm recording direct.

I've been playing bass since I was about fifteen years old. I never stopped, even after I got married and had a family of my own. So on my 45th birthday, my thirtieth anniversary for when I started playing bass, my wife got me this baby. I had known that Spector basses are great, but never got the chance to play one. Not only can I play one, I own one now. I love the feel of it, it's very well made and fits great up against my body. Neck through allows for killer sustain and the upper fret access is good for those bass solos if you want to do some Billy Sheehan like stuff. The pickups are amazing, and the simple yet powerful controls really work with you to help you make great tones. This bass is definitely worth the money, and I would buy it ten times over if I had to.
