The Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass '60s is an electric bass guitar that has all of the deluxe elements its Fender big brother did when first introduced in the 1960s: groovy offset waist design, narrow width, fast-action maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 2 custom single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets, individual volume controls that allow you to solo either pickup's sound or blend them for new sounds, and a master tone control for overall tone shaping.
The look is Fender all the way classic Olympic white over basswood with a traditional tortoiseshell pickguard with thumb rest. Features include a HiMass bridge with brass barrel saddles, rosewood 20-fret vintage tint gloss maple neck with the modern playability of a 9.5" radius, and vintage-style frets. Tonal versatility and an up front sound quick and punchy with enough clarity and harmonics to slap and pop.

I have 2 Custom Basses: a 5-String PRS Custom Gary Grainger Model/a Scott Ambush(Spro Gyra)Custom 5-String. This Fender Jazz Vibe 60 I checked out because a wanted to have a good playable 4 string. I've owned 6 other Fender Jazz basses. Mostly American Standard Deluxe Models. This bass is Absolutely, without a doubt the best Bang for the Buck!!! The Action was Spot on when I purchased it. The Pickups, combined with the Thicker Bridge have more than enough resonance and "Musicallity" to tackle any Genre!!! I still can't get over how Solid this Instrument performs night after night!! The Dimarzio Brights(Light guage) Strings really feel great on this bass as well. If you want Crazy Playabilty, Great Tone and a Price Point that is Ridiculously within anyones budget, Get this Bass!!!! Yes I know, it's a Squire made in China............I couldn't believe it either. Now I have one and can't stop playing it!!!!

So I've always wanted a Fender Jazz Bass after playing my friend's Geddy Lee and immediately knew I needed to have one in my small but growing arsenal of instrumental weaponry. The fact that it's made in China would probably never enter your mind aside from the fact that its printed on the back of the headstock and it plays better than anything else non-american made from Fender! A simple setup, new strings, and a rubdown with 0000 gauge steel wool on the neck (I hate that polyester/shinny feel) and it's almost as good as American Made. Not to mention the face that the color option is so beautifully pulled from the 60's Jazz Bass look.

Well coming into the music store and decided to try some "cheap" basses, and the classic jazz bass caught my eye, I was kinda of skeptic about the tone being "weak" and "dull" Plugged the bass into the ampeg amp and I noticed that the action on the bass was solid. Turn on the amp and played... this bass went beyond my skepticism I was impressed by the bass and tone. Slapping tone is awesome. I couldn't put this bass down in all honesty, This is a great value a BANG for your BUCK. Great bass to start out with for beginners... I recommend this bass totally GET IT!

The other day, at a music store, I tried out the Squire Classic Vibe Jazz Bass. The playability was great and the sound was amazing. It's also so easy to adjust the knob settings to get the ideal sound.
Normally, I don't give top scores on instruments that I've only tried. Evaluating an instrument usually includes what I call the "gig test" and that is after getting some quality time it.
The Squire Classic Vibe Jazz Bass has beaten the presumed-better basses with the high-end prices.
If you have a passion for ensuring that Leo's grandkids get the best education at an Ivy League college, then forget about anything made by Squire.
If, however, you want to save a lot of money and get the maximum bang for your buck, there is no need to look beyond Squire.
I'm probably going to experience the remorse that follows when one reaches the conclusion that this product rating should be all 5.0.

Amazing bass. I bought this bass about 4 months ago. This is one of the best basses i have ever played. The pickups are amazing, giving great tone no matter which pickup you chose to use. I use both for a punchy flea-like sound, and its perfect. The body is beautiful, 100x better than the pictures show. get this bass. you wont be sorry.
