Classic Vibe!
Back in 1982, the very first Squier by Fender guitars and basses came ringing out of Asia. Known for their excellent vintage-quality look, feel, sound and construction, those early Squier instruments and their Fender-branded counterparts are now highly sought-after collector's items revered by guitar enthusiasts as models of "getting it right" while aiming at value-conscious players. The Squier Classic Vibe Series reflects that simultaneous commitment to excellence, value and vibe'. Mirroring classic Fender designs, the Classic Vibe offering is not intended to be era or vintage correct but rather to impart the "vibe" of a classic Fender design. Each model has a distinctive feature set all adding up to one classic-looking instrument. Great sound, vintage looks, unbeatable value Classic Vibe!

Really love the weight of the bass and the quality of the finish is superb. I was skeptic at first in buying the bass unseen and worried about the shipping. The bass was packed well worth the wait. I made some adjustment to the action and it played better that I expected. Love the bass. I did have some issues with my order, but let’s say that it’s better to order on-line than over the phone.

Classic vibe 60's p-bass

Oh my! What have we here! a really nice p-bass for a very good price! First off, let me quantify this review by stating that I heavily modified this bass for my own use. I replaced the neck with a 60's mij jazz neck and put a black pickguard on it. Sweet! Everything else is stock. The sound of this bass gets it all from low thunder to a very usable slap style. I have other Fender basses, but this baby has become my number one stage bass. The basswood body is somewhat lighter than the alder wood of my other p's, which is a good thing when playing a 4 hour set.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and wide variety of tones this bass gets. (volume/ tone- what else do you need?) Mine came with a bridge cover that most bassists remove. I leave it on for that retro- 60's cool look! Did I mention that I like this bass?

Great bass for the buck

Been playing bass for 18years semi-professionally. First P-Bass I have ever owned and I am very pleased. I played about 15 various p-basses, from Squier through Custom Shop stuff. There are better sounding/feeling p-basses, but not for anywhere near this kind of scratch.

This is a great bass for the money as is, but upgrade the strings and electronics, and it is dy-no-mite. I'm in love with the neck and vintage frets, as well as the color. Only drawback is the fingerboard has a bit of a funky smell (I got mine straight out of the box), but this should fade over time.

Would replace if stolen.

Classic vibe, classic tone

I have had alot of people comment on how well this bass sounds, and I would have to agree. I've played many basses since I bought mine and the tone that this bass produces is incredable for the price. I loved the color sonic blue very retro but still very current. The neck on the bass is really what sold me such an excellent fit and finish on this beauty. I walked into the music store with around 3 bills in my pocket looking for a telecaster, I walked out with this bass and never looked back, couldn't be more happy with it. If your looking for an inexpensive bass that looks and plays like a million bucks, this is the bass for you.

This is a pretty darn good bass for the money! I used to own a mim Fender P bass and this bass plays nicer. I am definitely pleased with the tone, fit, finish, feel and quality of this instrument. Squier is gonna steal some sales from the Fender line of basses.
