I started playing bass when my church lost its bass player. I decided to play for them. Considering I knew nothing about bass playing, I decided to let my music minister pick it out. When he saw this bass, he, without any hesitation, picked it up and insisted on buying it. I love this bass. It sounds great, looks great, and has lasted over a year now. I will never get rid of this bass. It is by far the best bass out there for this price. Any review that doesn't give this bass 5 stars is not at all truly describing the beauty of this bass. I would suggest this bass to anyone. AWESOME BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this Bass a little over a month ago. I had been looking around for a new bass for months, and I still couldn't find one that suited me and my wallet. After visit a Guitar store, and playing through multiple more expensive basses, i left empty handed and disappointed. After seeing this hot baby online, I took a chance and bought this. And It's been a treasure ever since.

I got this for my birthbay last year, this was my first bass. I have to say that the finish is very high quality, it is durable and attractive. The pickguard is like a mirror and the black is just stunning. The bass produces amazing tone, I have been told this by my friend's dad and my bass teacher, both have extencive experiance. You can get wall shaking lows and amazing j-bass highs from the p-j settup of the pickups. My only complaint is that the output jack is very annoying, it constantly comes loose. This is easily repaired though. The bass stays in tune for weeks at a time, which is really a time saver. The j bass neck is very comfordable to use and allows for quick, easy playing. By using the tone and volume knobs you can get a wide variety of sounds. Don't be fooled by the Squier brand name, this can stand up to any fender I've come across, it's the real deal! this bass is the most cost effective bass I could find. For anybody that is thinking about picking up a bass get this one because it can give you the tonal divercity and comfort you want at a price you love.

More Than A Starter Bass

I got this bass for christmas a few years ago. I had been playing guitar for a couple years before that. The only negative thing that has really annoyed me about this bass is that it came with two screws missing from the right cutaway pickguard, which sucked, but I just took some screws off an old beater strat nockoff that I rarely played and put 'em on. Also, the stock strings are real glassy, so I'm just now changing to fender flatwounds. But the positive: the neck is like butter compared to an affinity p bass and with some adjustments, the action is great and the pj p-ups are super versatile. That, and the chrome guard will get a thumbs up from most people. It is also very sturdy, as it has fallen off a wall hanger and walked away with only a scratch.

This is a great bass in general. The fact that is a squier and plays like a fender blows my mind. I got this as my first bass and i still use it today in shows and recording! It stays in tune good. I use Ernie Ball Power Slinkys becaus I mostly play metal and hardcore music and this bass can stay in drop c tuning well. My friend has a Washburn and is constantly always retuning. This is also a good looking bass. It gets a lot of props on stage. There only 2 things that I have complaints about. When I put straplocks on it the screws that were on it were bigger than the ones with the straplocks. so i filled the holes with epoxy then put it in and its solid as ever. The other thing is that the neck doesnt feel like a true precision bass. But they are still very good. Definately buy this if you are a beginner.
