Don't Buy It

Look, I bought this bass without knowing how bad it was. If you can, save up some money to buy a decent bass at at least 400 bucks. This bass has only two set-ups: 1-Ducky Precision; 2-Almost average slapy Precision; It doesn't sound very good; its sound variety is stupid and its bridge got me into trouble since the tension plus the almost unnajustable string height made my playing the worse thing most people had ever known.

A very good bass. I got it for free from a friend/mentor so I couldn't turn it down and im glad I didn't. I've been playing bass for almost a year now, 8 months on this bass, 2 months on an Epiphone Thunderbird. Squier did it right with this bass. Slightly fast neck, rosewood fretboard, very lightweight, durable. This bass will last you a long time. But, this bass is more for begginers. If you're looking to play punk or things with repetitive bass lines, this is for you but if you're looking to be all over the neck using all four strings, playing songs sort of like Got The Time by Anthrax, this isn't gonna do you all that great. Not good for solos and very fast bass lines. Otherwise I like it but for nearly the same price, you can get an ESP. So, more or less;

Begginer: Get it! Experience: Stick with the ESP or Ibanez if you want something in the same price range.

WOW!!! That was my first impression of this bass. I fell in love with it when I first saw it. The color is so eye catching that I couldnt resist. I went down to the local guitar shop and played it for a while. After a month or so I bought it. The action is perfect, the color amazing, the neck is smooth. the only problem were the strings but you can just change those. Other than that this bass is AWESOME!!! And for such an affordable price who can refuse such a deal.

I got out of playing years ago. I recently got an itch to get back into playing. I own a Steinberger L2, but that is not a practice bass. I also own a Rickenbacker but my friend has it and loves it too much for me to take it back. So I went and purchased this bass, same color. I am very impressed with the feel and weight of it. No buzz at all anywhere on the fret board. The action compares to the top of the line Precision. I don't practice with an amp so I can't comment on the sound quality other than when I plugged it in at the store. I found the treble a little too low but that could have been the amp. Overall anyone wanting a Precision bass but does not want to spend the thousand dollars for the real deal can't go wrong with this lesser version. For the price it's a great buy.
