Blown away is the only way to describe it.I think it is the exact Bass as the main sting rays.The difference is this one is made in indonessia,which makes it a lot cheaper than american made.Could use bette tuning pegs.A good buy for the price.

So I was crusing around Guitar Center and I saw this bass sitting there, so I picked it up. First of all I have only been playing bass for 2 years, but once I started playing this thing I was flying up and down the neck like I've been playing for like 30 years. If you are looking for a great bass, with incredible action, and a great price. Look no further.

I had been looking for a good used Stingray for several months when the Sterling Ray34 was released. All the early reviews were really great but my local music stores didn't have these in stock. So I ordered a honeyburst Ray34 without having played one. This is really a great bass for the price. I have owned this bass for a little over a month now and I play it more than my MIA Fender Jazz. The tone of the Ray34 is just like the Stingray, thick tight lows, bright highs and lots of punch and clarity.

My only complaints on the Ray34 are the weight and the tuners. The tuners really aren't bad and they don't come out of tune, but they just aren't as good as some of the higher dollar basses out there. I have got used to the weight (I think this Ray34 is 9.7 lbs), it's just not as light as either of my USA Fenders.

I have been playing bass for over 20 years and have owned over 2 dozen basses, and the Ray34 is probably the best bass for the price I have owned. It would be nice to have some multi pickup options like the Stingrays but with the 3-band EQ the Ray34 is more versatile than I originally thought.

I would recommend this bass to anyone that has been looking at a Stingray and is having a hard time with the higher cost.

I go to my local shop to play this bass all the time. It is insane. It sounds just like the real musicman stingray and costs way less. The glow of the paint is amazing. Even the all black one shines all the way across the room. The orange one is beautiful. This bass offers many different tones. It covers any kind of music. Whether you play like flea or Robert Trujillo it covers it all. im for sure gonna save up and buy this bass
