This is a beautifully crafted bass. If you are looking for an option that not only looks great but can go from funky mids, to smooth almost fretless fullness with a spin of a knob, this bass can do it, and much more. Excellent for anything from modern rock to smooth jazz.

Well, I first played it on a trip to NYC playing throuhg a terrible amp. I played a lot of basses, none sounded as good as this, including warwick's corvette and double buck. I didn't want to leave it, but was pretty much broke. I got it for christmas and have been playing it so much since then that it hurts to type. It's easy to use, but still has all of the tone that I'm looking for. If you're thinking what I thought when I first saw it, that the humbucker would sound great for rock and that the J pickup would have a clear sound for jazz, you're right. Perfect bass.

Not Good For Warwick

I bought this 3 months ago. I also have a corvette fretless. It's good and I thought warwick is well-trusted and I like the tone myself. So I gave this a try. First of all, I had this "buzz" sound when I took the tone volume a little beyond 6 which doesn't happen with my corvette warwick or even with my first bass which is an OLP (I have ampeg SVT-8pro with marshall cabinets so the sound doesn't come out of them for sure) So I only have to get tubed tones from it. Second, after I changed it's string I had to clean it's neck and One of the fret wires disconnected and I had to replace it and it gave me another "buzz" sound when I played that fret. and Third, I once tuned it to BF#BE and when I tune back to Standard It Caused a Twist in my neck. Now, I don't use it anymore. I could've bought Gibson or music man basses with this much money. I've waisted it on this.

I bought the FNA Jazzman because I wanted a quality great sounding bass. I had a Streamer Standard but wanter more tone varity. I bought the red satin color. I had it for about a month and just working out the tones when I decided to clean it with my guitar cleaner. What happens but I notice that the finish is now glossy in some spots. Then I used it for one job and I noticed that the head stock had a separation in it. I contacted the US distributor, he told me that I would have to send it to them and it would not be under warranty. I just put it away for about a month and I pulled it out again. I decided to send it back to the distributor, they agreed that if I pay for the shipping to & return that they would buff the finish and it would be all glossy. I also mentioned the split in the headstock. I got it back the finish was mostly gloss but still satin around the pups. The split not looked at. Remmember this bass in not a year old. I call the distributor and he said they did remove the pups an buffed..well it was still satin/gloss bloched. He said that the split was normal that they all do that and the gold plated snap-lock that were buffed now were half silver. He said that the gold plating just comes off. I contacted Germany, and I am waiting to see what happens. I have had many basses, I take excellant care of them. This is the most problems I have ever had, and the customer service is a joke. Buy at your own risk.

Going from a 3rd generation hand-me-down Fender Jazz to this was a big step in the right direction for me.

This bass growls. It's beautiful and the tone is phenomenal. It definatly grew on me.

Ive only had two problems with this bass: The Just-a-Nut feature and getting used to the neck.

My bass got knocked over at a show, and the Just-a-Nut completely broke (it's made out of carbon fiber). I called Dana B. Goods and they replaced it for free. They also replace knobs and tuning keys for free if they ever become damaged.

The other problem was getting used to a neck. You have to play on it for a while to get the feel. It's a definate change due to the wood and action. When you get it, get your trus-rod and action adjusted immediately. You'll thank me later.
