I have been looking at warwicks for a while, and about a year ago I saw it online. I was in love... Finally a week ago I got it. And the price I got it for cant be beat. ($740). This bass has a Kick-butt growley sound! (you know what I mean.) This bass is by far the best bass I have ever seen or played! Well worth every cent.

I purchased this bass early in my bass career, and the more I play it and and experiment with other bass guitars the more I love this instrument. It holds its tuning, takes abuse, has a crystal clear tone, and is stylish to boot. If you can afford it, this bass is worth every penny.

I just purchased one of these. Not only does it sound as beautiful as I imagined, but it has an all wenge neck (it was an early model) after playing on it for only a few days, the tone even at the lowest possible levels are more than my old bass could dream of even going through high quality pre-amps. Not only are the tone and action incredible, but it made me realize I didn't have to spend more money on a new head, it was the bass all along. Definitely a must-buy if you have the money.

A faultless, powerful bass

I've owned mine for over 10 years. The tone is unsurpassed, and infinitely variable to suit the need. In hundreds of gigs and sessions its never failed me. I run it through an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro head, and an SVT 8x10 cabinet (1970, all original drivers!). I own eight other four strings, and they're all in retirement. 'Nuff said.

The best sound on the market

The Warwick Thumb is easily the best sounding bass on the market. If you like anything from superb deep tones to pick style twang, this bass will not let you down. The only problem I have ran across with this bass is that any strings bigger than .115 WILL NOT fit, and the .115 is almost impossible to fit in as well. I also had problems with the nut breaking as well, but that's an easy fix.
