Great Bass! Over Priced!

I really dig bass, and as other reviews said yes they are heavy. Kicking basses. But the price is a down payment on a new car. Nice bass, but at this price I'd get a Carvin for custom at a 1/3 to 1/4 the price. But if you got the cash to spare grab this one.

From blues, to metal to funk, this bass has ALL the growl that you could want and more. Combine this bass with 300watts of ALL TUBE power and you have tone that's a gift that keeps on givin'. Weighting in at 12 lbs., be ready for some punishment. Neck dive is pretty bad the way I hold the bass (down low, and almost vertical leading up with the neck "\", but I hear it's a lot better if held up high, mid chest). I love the craftsmanship of this fine instrument and not finding the lack of a brass nut to be a hindrance. Great bass, great tone, great action. The only 6-string I feel comfortable to slap on. For that distinctive Warwick tone, you gotta have a Warwick. If it got lost or stolen, I'd definitely replace it.

This bass can't be put into comparison with any mid to low end bass. My Smith, Tobias (pre-gibson), and now my 6Thumb. I own this bass as with many others and it is a heavy bass (i punch in about 170lbs). But the weight of the bass has never bothered me and I've played a lot of the basses mentioned in some of the other reviews. THEY ARE NOT IN THE SAME CATAGORY as the Warwick. Any genre of music and I quote "any" can be played with this bass. I normally sit while I play so the weight hasn't had a bitter effect to my opionion of the instrument. If you can't handle the weight then have a seat and play on.

In this case... everything. As mentioned in other reviews, this thing is HEAVY. So heavy that it's almost not worth it. The look and sound is undeniable, but it doesn't outweigh the weight and price. I don't think Moduluses are even this heavy. I've played countless numbers of basses and while this one is definitely way up on the list of great basses, you might do well to keep looking. You can never go wrong with some of the Ibanez basses that are a little bit more money. (But still 1/3 the cost of this one.)
