The stained mahogany body and multi-laminate neck with rosewood fretboard deliver striking looks. Rich, warm tone comes courtesy of two ABT jazz pickups. this is a good bass at a very good price, i play on hardcore punk bands since 8 years and by now this bass it's one of the best i have, it gots a great tunning and also sounds pretty hard to my taste, the neck it's very fast, pickups are acceptable. i really haven't use this bass to play jazz or any other type of music without distortion, and maybe thats why it works for me so if you are looking for an affordable 5 string bass to play hard this is the one that you need

I really loved the 5 strings, 24 frets, active pickups but there are some serious problems first I bought this bass 3 time each time it was bowed. And the spacing between the strings is ridiculously small. Seriously if you want something go a little higher on the money scale.

The head has a nice shape, the tuners are good quality, allthough the Washburn logo and hardware in gold would have been more pleasent to the eyes, the frets are very thin, fair workmanship, the fret board is well done, the inlays are nice, I prefer larger reference dots on the top side of the neck(Im more experienced than some) the neck shape is well done, the body is {SeXy}in shape But the separeation of the wood colors is poor at best, the pick ups have an odd overtone (hum)if the E/Q isnt full on, the pots are smooth, the bridge is poor when i got the bass the G buzzed, I found a dimple in the set screw saddle, i moved the string saddle back and the buzz was gone but I cant seem to get the intonation in now(I bought a BleM), input jack & straplugs are good, the gig bag is really nice, with tools (U may need)& a cord, it is comfortable standing or setting, my friends think that the bass sounds good, Sometimes it is the player!

I like this bass! I don't like the pickups and passive tone control though. The bass has mahogany body wings and maple/mahogany thru-neck. Decent fret work, pretty good bridge, the bass plays well, it's comfortable to wear, the neck has a nice shape, the body is ergonomic. But the pickups and passive tone KILL this bass. The tone unplugged is big and powerful; full. Plugged in is floppy on the low B at best. The E string is better, but then the A-G strings sound really good! Never fear though: it is easy and relatively inexpensive to replace the pickups and tone controls. Order some good 5-string J-style pickups and a minimum 2-band active EQ for this bass (3-band would be better depending on the style of music you play), and install them on a Saturday that you don't have to work. By the time you buy the bass, pickups, and EQ, you will have paid what this bass is really worth. However, some may not want to because it is easier to just buy another bass, after all.

The action is smooth, the electronics are great, the tone is fantastic, and the design is sexy. I own this bass, and I must say, it is one of the greatest values for a bass. great for beginners and experts alike. i recommend this bass for anyone looking for a great bass for not much money.
